Bettina schrijft: “For movement-lovers of all levels with a curiosity in engaging with a larger world, we are part of. As part of the ongoing series Fields of Belonging this workshop explores how our senses and the ancient knowledge stored in our bodily matter can become a powerful connection with the natural environment and inspire our dancing.
Through simple movement activities combined with awareness of our breathing, we open our senses and connect with our moving body, its tangible matter and permeability. We touch, see, listen, smell; we walk, sit, lean or balance and become more attentive to the living environment we are part of. A fascinating eco system of living beings with their materiality, shapes, colors, sounds and movements to which we belong.
Curiosity, play and a fluid attention open a dialog with our surroundings, which we actively shape through our senses, our physicality and our imagination. A lively interplay in which we can experience our unique connection with both, nature and ourselves.
